Jaime Pressly on Staying FitJaime Pressly is enjoying her new 2006 Emmy Nominated role of Joy Turner on My Name is Earl. She is also having great success as the designer of her own fashion label called J'aime. She now lives in the San Fernando Valley with her boyfriend, DJ Eric Cubiche, and their Boxer dogs named Joe Louis and Muhammad Ali. Cute.
She's 5 ft. 5 inches, about 110 lbs with washboard abs. Her body looks perfectly toned and proportioned and for good reason but at one point Jaime felt that she was too heavy when she weighed 126 lbs even with an intense workout. Jaime Pressly used to dance for 5 hours a day. That gave her a very muscular body. When she concentrated more on acting and was not able to dance so much, her muscles slimmed down.

If only young girls did not feel so much pressure to be super slim. Strong and muscular can be very attractive as well. Surely it is better to be strong and healthy, than to be slim but a victim of Anorexia Nervosa. |
Jaime Pressly : "I was like Mary Lou Retton. I couldn't lose any weight because it was all muscle, and it mattered that I was too heavy. So I was working out every day, but all I was doing was building more muscle. I wouldn't eat. And then I started — you know," she says, making a gagging noise and pointing to her throat. "That lasted a whole month. It wasn't working, anyway."
Pressly's slide to bulimia ended after her best friend's boyfriend pulled her out of the bathroom in the apartment she shared with her mother and yelled at her.
Today, Jaime Pressly stays fit and trim with her trainer and coach, Hollywood trainer Garrett Warren and Kick Boxing.

Kick boxing can provide a vigorous and intense workout that burns calories. The force of full contact can lead to injuries so be careful. Also be realistic about the skills you develop and avoid combat rather than relying on your skills as a kick boxer. Don't be overconfident and think that you can kick everyone's butt. |
Jaime feels that it is important to exercise regularly in order to remove toxins from your body.
For overall health and longevity:
Jaime says, "I work out and I think exercise gets out your aggressions. If you don't run, don't work out or get those toxins out of your body, you can just go crazy!" On when she doesn't get to exercise, "I start getting really angry with people and over-emotional with things that aren't really that big a deal and don't really matter all that much anyway."
Jaime's diet includes chicken, steak, and various other proteins.
Jaime Pressly: "Lots of protein in my diet... I've always been able to cook anything. I'm really good at making homemade sauces just because I'm Southern. So whether it's Chilean sea bass with lemon and butter pepper sauce or marinated steak, I'm pretty good in the kitchen."

Preparing meals with fresh ingredients while avoiding highly processed foods with preservatives, too much fat and flavor enhancers is key to good and lasting health. |
Jaime Pressly: "Lots of big green salads and meat and potatoes. My boyfriend eats a lot of filet steaks with a baked potato and a side of vegetables. I love pasta but don't eat it as much as I used to. I cut out a lot of carbs. I also eat a lot of fresh fruits honeydew and pineapple are my favorites."
